Dining in Evergreen Arbor is based around three daily meals and snacks prepared and served by Nutrition Services. A breakfast and supper buffet is offered in the first floor dining room. Qualified staff members from Nutrition Services meet with residents and their families to determine individual food and beverage preferences and ensure that nutritional needs are met according to physician’s orders. Our Nutrition Services department is managed by two Certified Dietary Managers, one of which is also a Chef. A Registered Dietician is also consulted regarding each resident’s diet. Every effort is made to accommodate individual preferences in both food choices and eating times. Resident requests for favorite foods are often incorporated into our menus. Guests are always welcome at a small fee. Private dining rooms can also be reserved for family dinners. The Bartels Community participates in a local food-buying project, so we are able to offer locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and milk on a regular basis. For more information about the 'Buy Fresh, Buy Local' project click here.
