Nutritious, tasteful meals are prepared and served by our experienced Dining Services staff who meet with residents to determine individual food and beverage preferences and ensure that their nutritional needs are met. Entree choices, breakfast buffet, fine dining, and theme meals are some of the extra touches offered, along with private dining rooms for family gatherings. In addition, Bartels participates in a local food-buying project and is able to offer locally grown fresh fruit, vegetables, milk and meat on a regular basis. Residents can also enjoy free ice cream at the Droste Ice Cream Den.

Delicious meals are served each day at noon in the elegant Eichhorn Haus dining room.  All meals feature two entree choices prepared by our experienced Nutrition Services staff.  A salad bar including fresh salad, fruits and vegetables is offered Monday – Friday.  Each month there is a special ‘fine dining day’ with the menu chosen by a committee of Eichhorn Haus residents.  Requests are met for special dietary needs or occasional meal service in the apartment.  Guests are welcome at a small fee.

Delicious and varied meals are served three times daily in the Linden Place dining room, designed to accommodate wheelchairs and regular seating. All meals feature two entree choices prepared by our experienced Nutrition Services staff.  A salad bar featuring fresh salads, fruits and vegetables is offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  Breakfast is served buffet style and includes both hot and cold options. 

Our Nutrition Services department is managed by two Certified Dietary Managers, one of which is also a Chef.  A Registered Dietician is also available for consultation.  Requests are met for special dietary needs or occasional meal service in the apartment.  Snacks are available at all times in the private family dining room.  Guests are always welcome at a small fee.  The Family Dining Room can be reserved for private dinners.

A breakfast and supper buffet is offered in the first floor dining room.  Qualified staff members from Nutrition Services meet with residents and their families to determine individual food and beverage preferences and ensure that nutritional needs are met according to physician’s orders.  Our Nutrition Services department is managed by two Certified Dietary Managers, one of which is also a Chef.  A Registered Dietician is also consulted regarding each resident’s diet.  Every effort is made to accommodate individual preferences in both food choices and eating times.  Resident requests for favorite foods are often incorporated into our menus.  Guests are always welcome at a small fee.  Private dining rooms can also be reserved for family dinners.
